どうして彼女の歌声は心の深いところにこんなにも沁み込んでくるのでしょう？

1stアルバムよりも格段に世界が深く、広くなった2ndアルバム。
歌う曲も井上陽水さんによる"一思案"、"面影モダン"あり
シングル"江戸ポルカ"、"金魚すくい"ありで
彩り豊かでバラエティに富んだものになっていて

今現在でのベストとも言えるアルバムではないでしょうか。

私がここで書くまでもないのですが、ラストの"ハナミズキ"はものすごい名曲です。
9.11を受けて書いた曲だと一青さんが語っていましたが
色んな枝葉をそぎ落としていったらこんなにも優しく美しい曲が出来上がったというところに
彼女の歌の、人としての、魅力がうかがえる思いがします。

大ヒットした｢ハナミズキ｣だけでなく，多彩な表情の曲を楽しめるのがこのCDのいいところ．良い意味でおちゃらけた遊び心が感じられる曲もあれば，凝った曲もあって楽しい．歌声はいつもながらに存在感があってすばらしい．彼女にしか作れない独特の世界に気持ちよく揺らされます．詞でよかったのは「一思案」．あとは｢今日わずらい｣の詩にはクスっと笑わされました．

バラエティに富んでいるこのアルバムの中では、「ハナミズキ」は異色。
「金魚すくい」のようなテイストの方がメイン。
ゆえに、「ハナミズキ」のような曲を期待して買うと、
「ハナミズキだけ良かったけど・・・」ということになりかねない。
そのような向きには、「ハナミズキ」のマキシシングルの方が良いだろう。
一青さんの「ハナミズキ」以外の魅力を探求してみたいのならこのアルバムを購入すればよいと思われる。
