   料理研究者の有元葉子氏が「台所道具の中で基本となる道具」をコンセプトにデザインした、日常使いのキッチンウエアシリーズ「ラ・バーゼ」。la baseとはイタリア語で「基本、基盤、基礎」という意味を持つ。

   本製品は使いやすい正方形の省スペースまな板で、パンやチーズ、肉や野菜の下ごしらえ、少量の食材切るときに便利。タイルのように複数枚並べればいろいろな使い方ができるのが特徴で、2枚並べれば普通サイズのまな板として大根や水菜などの長いものに最適なので大きなサイズで使いたい人には『la base 木製まな板 2枚セット』もお薦め。

   また板厚が25mmあるため、まな板スタンドなどを使わず、そのまま立てて収納することやキッチンの引き出しなどに収納すれば、まな板が邪魔になったり目立ってしまうことがなくてうれしい。表面を削りなおすことが可能なので、長年使って表面がでこぼこになったら製作会社でメンテナンスしてもらうことも可能。（三井貴美子）

まな板って例の長方形のサイズが決まりきったものだと思い
疑うことさえしませんでした。
まるで決められているサイズであるように。
でも。
実際、購入してみて手に取ったところ
「小さいかなあ？」と少し心配になりましたが、
その心配全然なし。

あまり、大きなものを切ることもないですし、
まな板ってホント大きいと邪魔です。
これだったら、キッチンに立てかけてあっても
美しいし、これをボードとして
クラッカーやサンドイッチなどを載せても素敵です。

質感や刃あたりもいいです。
声を大にしてオススメしたいです。

小さいかなと思いながら買ってみました。
でも意外と使いやすいです。
２枚組にすると大きく使えるみたいですが、私はこれ一枚で十分だと思ってます。結構高いしね。
厚みもしっかりあるけど予想してたよりも軽いし、この厚みのお陰で自立するのが便利！
何よりキッチンにそのまま置いても何だかお洒落なんです。

あと重宝したのがピザ！
オーブンから取り出した熱々のピザをこのまな板に乗せてテーブルへ。
そのままピザカッターを使えるし、テーブル上でもまな板に見えない！
正方形のまな板って意外と使えますよ♪

購入2-3ヶ月でつなぎめにそってひび割れてきてしまっていて、不安になりレビューをのぞいたら、同じく割れたという記載があり、書き込むことにしました。
製造元にも問い合わせてみたほうがよいのでしょうか。。
長く使いたくて購入したのに、毎日ひび割れを見るたび、がっかりします。
