当時から、トロッグスというグループは、扱いとしては冗談みたいなものだったのだろうが、何となく憎めない存在だし、みんな似たりよったりの曲調だけど、いい曲だって揃ってる。

“Wild Thing”の他にも、R.E.M.（マイケル・スタイプを除く３人は、その後共同でアルバムを制作している。それが1992年の“Athens Andover”という作品）が見事なカヴァーを残している“Love Is All Around ”、マギー・ミネンコの「燃えるブンブン」に影響を与えたかもしれない“With A Girl Like You”、“Wild Thing”の十四番煎じながらこちらのほうが曲としてキマってる“I Want You”、スピリチュアライズドがデビュー・シングル曲として取り上げた“Anyway That You Want Me”など、彼らの基本となるだろう曲がひと通り収録されている。ただし、似たような内容の編集盤は、このグループの場合数多く存在するので、このＣＤに固執する必要もなく、自分が確認した上で、気に入った内容のものを聴くようにすればいいだろう。
