　ジョージ・マイケルのソロ・デビュー・アルバム。８０年代を代表する名盤のひとつ。セールス的にも大成功を収めたが、様々なジャンルを取り入れつつも、ただ、うわべだけをなぞったのではなく、彼ならではの個性がしっかりと打ち出されているのが凄い。楽曲は「全て」が素晴らしく、一曲残らずシングルカット出来そうなコマーシャルな面も持ち合わしている。実際、６曲がシングルカットとなりほとんどが全米で１位を記録するという快挙を成し遂げている。アルバムももちろん１位。「ＦＡＴＨＥＲ　ＦＩＧＵＲＥ」、「ＫＩＳＳＩＮＧ　Ａ　ＦＯＯＬ」は特に素晴らしく、彼の才能が最も活かされているように思う。後の彼の音楽性につながっているようにも感じられる。歌唱力、曲作りの才能だけでなく、ルックスまでも恵まれているのがまた凄い、本物の天才アーティストの名盤。

アイドルっぽさのあったWHAM!時代とは全く違う印象。特に「FAITH」と「KISSING A FOOL」は大好きな曲。古き良き80年代POPS後半の名盤だと思います。

ジョージがワム!を解散してそのあとソロとしてデビューしたアルバム。このアルバムを出す前にアレサ・フランクリンと「愛のおとずれ」をデュエットし、そのあとこのアルバムにも入ってる「I WANT YOUR SEX」で度肝を抜いた。確かにかなりエロ度が表出しておりジョージのワム!のころの自分と違う、という気持ちが感じ取れる。アルバムの他の曲からも解散からたった1年でかなりの成長ぶりがわかる。現にこのアルバムから6曲も全米1位になった。とにかくすごい。曲も歌唱力もすばらしい。まだ聴いてない人は聴いてみて!
