中古でスターオーシャンを買ってプレイしたあの日、このゲームのサントラ欲しい…と思ったあの日には、すでに廃盤になっていました。欲しかったサントラが手に入ると聞いてすぐさま購入し、自宅に商品が到着。聴いてみると「お、前より良くなってる」という曲もありました、逆に「何だ、これ」と思う曲もありました。ですから、これを聴くときはSFCのスターオーシャンではなく、PS2のスターオーシャンだと思って聴いてみることをオススメします。でも、MOTHER OCEANが無いのは寂しいな…。

通常戦闘曲のあのキレはもはや再現不可能なのだろうか…。
他のオケ系は良い感じだと思います。

なんか変なループのしかたじゃない？

とりあえずまず一言、がっかりです。
最後に収録されているSFC・ORIGINAL・VERSIONの曲以外はアレンジがされてるのですが、
一部の曲で『音質処理の方法間違えたか？』と思うようなものが･･･。
一言で言うならば『耳障り』。そんな曲が入ってるのがとても残念です。
一部の曲にはノイズ混じってますし。もうちょっとどうにかならなかったのか･･･。

また、使われている楽器も少ないような･･･。SFCの曲のアレンジだから仕方ないのか？
そして、最後のオリジナルヴァージョンの曲のほうが音が綺麗だなと言う印象を与えられた曲もありました。これは一番ショックでした。

ただ、いい曲はとてもよいアレンジがされています。それはうれしい限りです。
全体的にそのような曲が少ない気もしますが･･･ね。

しかし、以前同社が発売したSO&VPサントラ・ザ・ベストに収録されている曲のほうが断然音がいいです。同じ曲でも何故か。
同程度の音質を期待してたのになぁ。何でここまで音が悪くなったんだろうか･･･。
今まで発売されてなかったSO初代のサントラが発売されたということ自体は、とてもうれしいんですがね。
