前半のほとんどの曲はROCK調のちょっと暗めな曲が多いですが、
後半になるとアコースティックな感じの曲が多くなります。
どっちもどこか切ないです。明るい感じの曲はあまりないですが、なぜだか元気が出てきます。
力強いですが愁いを帯びたような声をしています。
ソングライティングセンスは抜群！いい歌詞が多いです。

16歳で（正確には13歳からソングライティングをはじめたらしい）
こんな歌詞がかけるというのはすごいと思います。
普通の16歳の考えることとは違います。妙に大人びた歌詞です。
overdrive以外にも2曲目のI likeに続き3･4･5･7･8･9･12･13・・
聞けば聞くほどに味が出てきます!!個人的には大音量で聞いてもらいたいです。

Katyの「overdrive」を初めて聞いたとき、そのパワーに圧倒されました！！個性と音楽の表現力、そして声、すべて素晴らしいです！！アルバムの「Because I can」はそんなKatyの魅力がいっぱい詰まった最高の作品でした。元気がみなぎるポップな「overdrive」から始まり、しっとりとなんだか切なくなる「Because I can」まで全曲最高です！！聞く価値あります！！

一回どこかで聞いたOverdriveが耳に残っていて、思わずこのCDを買いました。圧倒的に他の曲より最初のOverdriveがスキです。
でもどの曲もケイティの力強く、しかし透き通っているような声で歌っていてすごくよかったです。
意外とスローなテンポからすごくアップテンポな曲まで幅広く歌っていたのに驚きました。
ただCDを聞き終わったとき、何か物足りなさを感じました。なのでセカンドアルバムに期待する意味もこめて星４つ！
