７０年代に生まれた名曲群を桑名晴子が敬意を込めてカバーした名盤が長門芳郎監修によるデジタル・リマスタリングを経て復刻した。
選曲、AB'sによるアレンジ、演奏、すべて申し分ない出来のカバーアルバムでありキャラメル・ママ~ティン・パン・アレー~ナイアガラ周辺のファンには周知の本作がこのような形で復刻されることはとても喜ばしい。
１、２曲目の細野カバーを芳野藤丸と松下誠が交代でアレンジし最後に実兄・桑名正博の名曲「夜の海」もアレンジ違いで並べて締めくくるという構成もAB'sテイスト溢れていて心憎い。まさに日本のＡＯＲ、８０年代シティ・ポップスの豊穣なる収穫である。

Originalの発売は1982年。晴子さんは時代のはるか先を行ってたんだな~、今聴いても全く古さを感じさせません。その訳はお兄ちゃんゆずりの唄のうまさと、当時ひっぱりだこだった吉野藤丸氏、松下 誠氏のcoolなギター（なつかしい！）、PARACHUTEの安藤芳彦氏、上田正樹とSouth to Southの中西康晴氏など日本語ロック草創期のそうそうたるメンバーによる演奏がオシャレなアレンジと共に高い完成度を生んでいるからだと思います。“月のあかり”とともに正博お兄ちゃんと下田逸郎氏の名曲“夜の海”の一部を女性歌詞にしたのも正解。長門芳郎氏の詳しいライナーもついてこの価格のお値打ち価格にも好感持てました。お買い得！
