テレビシリーズ放映中にリリースされ、過去何度かＣＤ化されている
オリジナルアルバムを、いま現在の技術でデジタル・リマスタリングした
好企画の６枚組。６枚目は現在入手困難なキングレコード原版のアルバム
「せ・しゃれまん」だ。
DISC-1からDISC-3の収録曲は、過去のコロムビアの５枚組BOX企画

（ボックスのカラーが黒かったことから通称・黒箱と呼ばれる商品）で
再度CD化されているが、この時のマスターよりもハッキリとサウンドが
良くなっている。黒箱を購入済みのルパンファンは買い控えてしまうかも
知れないが、この６枚組は購入しても損なしの逸品だと思う。
LPサイズのカラー解説書は、各アルバムのアナログLPのジャケット及び

解説書を復刻したものと、高島幹雄氏の解説文とが交互に入っている。
70年代の発売当時のデザインセンスや帯に書かれたキャッチコピーも
いかにも当時のセンスを漂わせていて楽しい。
欲を言えば、書き下ろしの記事部分がもっと欲しかったような気もするが
ルパンサウンドの薀蓄は、既発売のCD「ルパン三世クロニクル」シリーズで

たっぷり愉しめるから良しとしたい。

　ルパン三世クロニクルシリーズもついに真打ち登場。既発のリマスターにボーナスディスクがついて、「これでもか」という凄い内容です。

　まず嬉しいのは、オリジナル・サウンド・トラック１~３のリマスター。どこを切っても名曲揃いの文句ない盤が耳も新たに迫ってきます。また、ディスク４・５では故・山田康雄氏の声がたっぷりと堪能できます。録画機器がなかった頃のように、声を頼りに「山田ルパン」に思いを馳せてはいかがでしょうか。

　そして、なんといっても本盤のハイライトはディスク６の山田康雄ファーストアルバム「せ・しゃれまん」。フレンチ・コメディーに通ずる山田氏のセンスが感じられる好盤。今回の初ＣＤ化で発売当時に聴くことの出来なかった世代にも山田氏の「粋」が充分に伝わることでしょう。

　値段は決して安くはありませんが、それに見合う価値があります。逆に、これだけのお金を出してくれるなら大サービスしますという制作側の心意気が伝わってくるぐらい、パッケージも中身も豪華です。ＬＰレコードサイズですので収納に困るといううれしい悲鳴もありますが。

　さて、「せ・しゃれまん」のクレジットは山田康雄＆ＹＯＵとなっています。つまり大野雄二氏とのコラボレーションということ。その大野氏には、のちに「ルパン三世PART３」のエンディングテーマを歌うソニア・ローザ（ホーザ）さんとの「Spiced With Brazil」という素敵なアルバムがあります。ソニアさんの歌声はキュートでチャーミング。７４年制作のいわば「プレ・ルパン」なサウンドも聴きどころです。まだ触れてない方はこの機会に是非どうぞ！

This is a collection for which fans of Lupin III (the World over ) have been waiting since the defunction of the original CBS boxed sets of the early 1990s.
Comprising digitally re-mastered versoins of the first three OSTs, and three entertaining (at least for the Japanese literate among us) drama discs, the LP styled box brings us all the best cuts for the second TV series, in their original renditions, but polished up to a mirror-like finish.
Certainly not as complete as the boxed sets, and not to be taken as a sound ecord of Lupin (which would be huge). This set is nothing more or less than a memorial to six early LPs which many younger fans will never have heard. (Most of) The tracks they contains (at least the music ones) may be available on other discs, but not in such high quality renditions. Indeed, some tracks, such as "Red Roses For the Killer" (OST 1, track 4), have never available so clear to the ear (and in both versions as well - semi drama and pure music).
An excellent and long overdue release!
