このヘッドホンはモニターと名の付く通り、良いものは良く、悪いものは悪く表現します。古いPOPSなどだと録音のあらが見えてあまりよくないのですが、録音のいいボーカルやピアノなどはとても繊細に美しく表現してくれます。特に高音粋が爽やかで美しく、それでいて刺激的ではありません。逆に低音はしまった密閉型ヘッドホンらしい音がするため、鍵盤やドラムなどには向きますが、歪んだ低音、膨らんだ低音には向かないでしょう。付け心地はいまどき珍しくかっちりしたした感じで大型の手巻きネジで自らの最適な形状に調整できます。またこの手のヘッドフォンにしては軽く、カールコードなども付属するため自由度が広いです。注意点は密閉感が強く遮音性が高いため、つけながら歩くと危険です（笑）。ただカールコード付きなので携帯オーディオにもコードがあまらず使いやすいのでついつい使ってしまいますが。

良くも悪くも、非常に素直なヘッドホンと思う。
割と、再生機器やＣＤ等の癖をハッキリと再現してしまう。
そおため、悪いモノを悪く聞かせてしまうところもあり、悪い再生環境では色艶にはかけるところもある。
初めからモニター的な高解像度だが伸びが今ひとつ少ない淡白で締まった鳴りを期待して買う分には星５つでも良いかも知れない。

逆に言えば環境を整え、ちゃんとした録音の曲を聞いてやると、非常に伸びのいい情感溢れる素晴らしい演奏を鳴らしてくれる。
外見のみに惹かれて買うと難しい面もあるので、ネットである事も含め、敢えて星３つにした。

良い音楽環境さえ整っていれば、原音をきれいに奏でてくれるモニターヘッドホンだと思います。
原音重視型なのでノイズの起こりやすい環境だと、ノイズまでしっかり再現してしまいます。ＰＣなどに接続する場合は要注意だと思います。
音は全体的に艶々している感じですので曲はバラード系やヒーリング系に向いていると思います。
普通にＰＯＰな曲などを鑑賞する分には特に問題はなく、むしろ他の同等クラスのヘッドホンよりも気持ちよく鑑賞できる位の高性能ヘッドホンだと思います。しかし、低音域が少し弱いように思われます。ダンスミュージックなどの低音域が強調された曲によっては音割れする事があります。
特に低音域が好みの方はパイオニア製なら「ＨＤＪ−1000」の方が気持ちよく鑑賞できるかもしれません。
