これはね、非常に良い作品ですよ。同じホラー映画でも１３金とは異質の作品であり個人的にはこちらをオススメします。しかし第一作目のこの作品だけにエールを送りたいと思う。理由はこの本編以降のエルム街には一作目のダーティなアロマ（香り）が足りないからです。フレディーも三作目ぐらいからパロディに走りだして妙に口達者になり作品の雰囲気を壊し始めるという結果になり残念でありません。でもこれは傑作であると断言できます！

5.0 out of 5 stars 低予算で作られた故の恐怖, 2005/4/13
人間にとって絶対欠かせない物の一つ、睡眠。
その安らぎの時間に死ぬかもしれない恐怖を描いたこの作品は
アイデアとして素晴らしいと思います。
低予算ゆえにいろんな部分でチープな所が見られますが、
シナリオでそれをカバーしています。

ホラージャンルにおける名作の1つとして、
モンスターのデザイン、設定、シナリオ共々
この作品は必見ではないでしょうか。

いや、ホラーって感じしなかったです。
なんかNHKの年末に２時間連夜よくやる長編海外ドラマな感じで
普通に内容が面白かったです。

フレディもあんまり出てきませんし、暗いシーンばっかで
何やってるのか良く見えないですし、逆に主人公を中心とした
ホームドラマ的な感じで気楽に楽しめました。
それに＋幽霊って感じで、食い入って見てました。

ジョニー・デップもなんか知らないで見てたら
「ん？何かこの人、どこかで見た事ある顔だけど…。」
てな具合で気付かないかも…。
※主人公のボーイフレンドがジョニーですよ！

結構アイデアも凝ってて２０年以上前の、しかもしかも低予算でありながら
全然作り物っぽい感じがしなかったし…っていうか作り物が出てくるような
シーンないですけど、前半はホラーテイストで中盤からちょっとスプラッタ。

そしてクライマックスは…ホーム・アローン？
