この音楽はまさに１９７０年代の邦画の音楽といった感じです。１９７０年代風の映画音楽（邦画しか詳しくないけれど）が好きな人は是非一度聞いてみてください。特にオープニング音楽の雄大さと戦闘音楽のかっこよさがたまらない！

東映版和製「スターウォーズ」、映画「宇宙からのメッセージ」の交響組曲。
「スターウォーズ」同様、舞台が宇宙でも、安易に電子音楽、シンセサイザー中心ではなく、
オーケストラとコーラスによる音楽が中心で、「エメラリーダのテーマ」は美しく壮大、
「リアベの勇士」は勇壮で、スケールが大きさが聴きどころです。
発売当時、LPレコードを良く聴きました。

作曲の森岡賢一郎氏は、天地真理の「水色の恋」やブルーコメッツの「ブルーシャトー」の編曲を
された方と聞き、びっくり。

本盤は映画製作時にレコード用に作製された音楽で、映画にそのまま使われた曲は少なく、
実際には多くの曲が映画用に追加録音されたようです。

「交響組曲　宇宙からのメッセージ」は、1988年に『石ノ森章太郎萬画音楽大全(2)』として発売された際には、
LP収録曲以外に、シングルレコード収録曲や未収録映画ヴァージョン曲など、ボーナストラックが１２曲も
追加収録されておりましたが、本盤はLP収録曲のみで、ボーナストラックがないのが残念です。
したがって☆−１しましたが、曲自体は素晴らしいです。

5.0 out of 5 stars ショスタコーヴィチ？？？いいえ、これこそ東映サウンドです, 2006/10/26
　本作の「リアベの勇士」が、実はショスタコーヴィチの「交響曲第５番」の第４楽章のアレンジ（というか、元ネタ、或いはインスパイアされたというか解釈は皆様にお任せします）なのは、知る人ぞ知る有名な話ですが、んなこた、どうだってよろしい。
　これぞ、まさしく切った張ったの東映ＢＧＭ！という印象の曲調が本編への思い入れをより一層書き立ててくれます。
　作曲者の森岡賢一郎氏には失礼ですが、菊池俊輔でも、渡辺宙明だと言われても違和感が無い、東映という大きな括りの中に抱合されたサウンドです〜別の表現をするなら、松平健が吉宗の扮装でチャンバラしていてもいいし、宇宙刑事シリーズのレーザーブレードのシーンに掛かっていても違和感が無いんですね。東宝の軽快な、或いは重厚なサウンドとはまた一味も二味も違う東映サウンドにぜひ、耳を傾けてみて下さい。
