まず、ＣＣＣＤでなくなったことを大きく評価したい。彼の作品に出会う機会をみすみす逃してしまう人が出てきてしまうことは、できる限り避けてほしかったのである。佐野元春は、デビューしてしばらくの間、『ブルース・スプリングスティーンのコピー』というレッテルを貼られていた。それが、この”ＶＩＳＩＴＯＲＳ”をニューヨークから日本に持ち帰り発表したことにより、誰の物まねでもない、「佐野元春な音楽」を確立した。よく、この作品が、現在のラップ、ヒップホップシーンに影響を与えたといわれるが、”ＶＩＳＩＴＯＲＳ”以降、彼がラップミュージシャンに転向したわけではなく、ラップもありなロックンロールプレイヤーであり続けていることからしても、ミュージシャンへの影響というより、マーケティング側の受け入れ態勢を柔軟にさせた功績が大きいような気がする。２０年たってこの作品を聞いてみると、今、巷で流れているラップ・ヒップホップ音楽に比べ、丁寧で繊細な歌詞と、メロディアスな曲作りに改めて感心させられるのである。

　もう20年近くこのアルバムを聴いているが、珠玉をちりばめたような素晴らしい楽曲の中で、"New Age"が最高だと考えていた。そのミュージッククリップを、このＤＶＤで初めて観た。感動した。佐野さんの表情から彼の力強い意志、これを歌いたいんだ、この歌を聴いて欲しいんだという意志を感じた。それがあまりに強すぎたばかりに、時折、はにかんだような表情を見せるのが、また魅力的である。
　現在では入手不可能であろう、このクリップを観られるだけでも、充分に価値のあるＣＤとＤＶＤである。

さすが佐野元春！CCCDでの音なんて
聴けちゃもんじゃありません。
CCCDの中止のニュースを聞いて、
早速、予約する事にしました。

佐野元春を知ったのは、
20歳を過ぎてから。
それからファン歴10年。

COMPLICATION SHAKEDOWNの
ポップさにライヴで毎回、やられます。
今回はDVDでそれが見れるようなので、
CDと同時にそちらも楽しみです。

CD1枚まるごと邪魔にならない心地良い音、
歌声って、なかなかないです。
このアルバムは、まるで邪魔じゃない。
買いの1枚だと思います。
