新進気鋭のピアニスト近藤嘉宏が編曲に丸山和徳を迎えて
20世紀トップスクリーンミュージックに挑戦します。

映画音楽のカバーアルバムは数多くありますが、
丸山のドラマチックなアレンジは
サントラに毛が生えたようなものとは異なり、
ポップではありますが良く練られた
アイデアに富んだものとなっています。

一方、近藤の極めて繊細でクリアなピアノタッチは、
ミュンヘン国際コンクールを始めとしたドイツ修行の成果を感じさせます。
ダイナミズムをそしてリズムを上手く表現しています。

おすすめは、
１曲目のミシェル･ルグラン作曲「シェルブールの雨傘」
９曲目、ヘンリー･マンシーニ作曲「ひまわり」
11曲目、ジョニー･マンデル作曲「いそしぎ」
16曲目、ニーノ･ロータ作曲『ジェルソミーナ「道」より』

特に「いそしぎ」は、
今までの解釈を根底から覆すようなアレンジになっており、
非常にユニークで面白いです。

映画音楽というポップな視点から日本人ピアニストの将来に
大きな希望を感じさせてくれる一枚です。
