雑誌で“世界の童謡を現代風にアレンジ、絵本付き！”と、紹介されているのを見て購入した。どう現代風なのか？とても楽しみにしていたが、聴いてみると非常に素朴、シンプルで、とってもアットホーム･･･。正直物足りないな~という感じ。ところが、一度聴き終えた時、また聴きたくなった。そうして、もう1回、もう1回と繰り返し聴いた。心がほどけたようだった。気付いたら子どもの頃の家の空気や臭いを思い出していた。力が抜けて、子どもの頃の何にもないただ楽しい気持ちになっていた。レコーディングがエリザベスのホームスタジオだったり、絵本のイラストはエリザベスのお母さんが描いていたり、アルバムの全てがとにかくあたたかい。日本語で歌われる「どんぐりころころ」はかなりカワイイ。
