アルモドバル初期の傑作。なんという映画を撮るのだ。

恋人を死なせたヤク中のクラブ歌手が転げ込んだ修道院が舞台で、待ち受けた院長は主人公を部屋に案内するや、いきなり腕をまくってヘロインを打つ。尼僧たちは虎を飼ってたり（この大きな虎がかわいい！）、官能小説を書いていたり。ちなみに、それぞれの呼び名（あだ名ではない）は肥溜め尼、ドブ鼠尼、堕落尼、毒蛇尼などである。イッちゃってる女を描いたら天下一品のアルモドバルだが、ここまでメチャクチャな設定にもかかわらず、たんたんと筋を進めるのは並大抵のバランス感覚ではないと思う。

ウーピー･ゴールドバーグの『天使にラブソングを』などとは比較にならぬほど楽しい尼僧映画である。

特典として収録されている予告編も傑作。

タイトルが観る前にある印象を植え付けてしまいますが、内容とあまり関係のないタイトルです。やけっぱちと場末の陳腐さがむんむんしておりますが、そのなかでも楽しもうとする姿がやけにラテン。隠れて麻薬を使うしある意味人生前向きなんです。そして壊されそうになる修道院を歌手を引き込んでどうにか持ち直そうとする試みは？このショー楽しいな。ラテン、サルサ、フリオイグレシアスみたいなボーカルの曲が使われて、悩んでいるはずの人たちが楽しそうに過ごしている様は観ていて楽しいです。なにか気分が良くなりましたよ。ケバケバしい雰囲気を観るのも嫌だという人には向かないかも。ジャケットの「虎」あんまり関係ないですよ。また、エロを強調した話ではないですよ。みんな尼さんの格好をしておりますが役者の経歴はかなりの女優が集まっております。

アルモドバル監督初期はどの作品も、色どりが美しく、くどく安っぽいのかなんなのか・・・そこが癖になりました。尼長の純愛がテーマ?なのだが、ほかの細かい部分が気になり後半にならないとピンとくるところがないかも?
