ビデオ用に製作されたアニメーションの舞台は、映画『美女と野獣』に登場した、まだ魔法が解かれる前の野獣の城である。このおなじみの舞台で『美女と野獣 ベルのファンタジーワールド』が描くのは、捕われの身となったベルの周りで起こる1話完結のエピソード3作品。「大切な言葉」では言葉の意味を取り違えたためにベルと野獣が仲たがいをする。謝りの言葉も形ばかりだったことから二人の仲はもっと険悪になってしまう。「フィフィとルミエールの記念日」ではフィフィとルミエールが主役。そりの暴走で二人のロマンチックな夜は一転、恐ろしい冒険をするはめに。「傷ついた小鳥」では、小鳥に優しく接してくれるよう、ベルは野獣に頼みこむ。各エピソードには教訓が織り込まれているものの、そうした試みも不自然でわかりにくく、オリジナル映画「美女と野獣」の人気に便乗してさらに利益を挙げようというディズニースタッフの魂胆が見え隠れする感は否めない。（対象年齢5歳以上）（Lynn Gibson, Amazon.com）
