　実はトニー・レオン・カーファイ梁家輝が演じたチョー・ファン楚帆や、春風街（メモリー・レーン）の住人らの名前は、50~70年代の香港映画の名優たちから拝借されている。赤ちゃんをおんぶしている、けなげな坊やの名前は「レイ・シウロン李小龍」。そう、ブルース・リー李小龍の子役時代にオマージュを捧げているのだ。長屋アパートの設定も、セリフを北京語ではなく初めて広東語にして香港映画界の金字塔となった「七十二家房客」という旧作から拝借している。トニーらのコミカル演技に大笑いしながら、どうぞ「ブルース・リーより前から頑張っていた香港映画」にも思いを馳せてください。

渋くてせつないトニーもいいけど、この頃の仔犬のような瞳に涙の似合うトニーも格別。王家衛監督の撮るトニーとは一味違うコメディアンぶりを味わって欲しいです。
それにしても、レオン・カーフｪイに向かって、ローラ（カリーナ・ラウ）のどこがいい？ と聞くなんて… そのうえ、胸の大きいところがいいと答えられた上に、おまえも好きなんだろ？ と言われるとは…
そう、と答えるあなたが憎い。

香港版『バック･トゥ･ザ･フューチャー』って感じなのでしょうか（？）
ファンタジー映画ってあんまり見ないのですが・・・。
トニー･レオンにつられて見てしまった作品です。
常日頃、父親のことを見下していたり、理解できなかったりする息子
（トニー･レオン）が過去に行ってしまいます。

若かりし日の父と母と対面し、長屋で一緒に暮らす人々との交流の中で
トニーは少ーしずつ変わっていきます。
勿論、彼が変わっていくのには色んな事件があるのですが、
それは、映画を見てのお楽しみ・・・。
ただ、自分の親（特に同性）と『親友』になれたら楽しいだろうなぁ･･･。
と思わずにはいられない作品でした。

ノスタルジックで古き良き時代のほのぼの映画だと私は思いました。
優しい気持ちになれますよ。
