　普通の60ワット型（57W）電球の代わりに使えます。
　その上、従来の60ワット形電球と比べて、電気代約５分の１、寿命は約６倍、発熱量は約５分の１だそうです。
　電球よりは高めですが、ランプ交換の頻度は減りますし、総合的にはお得になると思います。
　ただし、明るさを調節できる機能のある電気器具や、誘導灯・非常用照明器具には、使えません。
　また、完全に明るくなるまで、約30秒かかります。
　玄関（屋内）や風呂場の照明、電気スタンドに使うといいと思います。
　2005年2月現在、２個以上まとめて買えば、送料無料で配達してもらえますから、電球が切れる前に、買い置き用に買っておいてはいかがでしょうか。
