   哀川翔の記念すべき100本目の主演作品として、監督・三池崇史、脚本・宮藤官九郎という充実の布陣で製作された異色の特撮ヒーロー映画。
   生徒からも家族からも疎んじられる小学校教師、市川は、34年前に放送打ち切りとなった特撮ヒーロー“ゼブラーマン”のコスプレという誰にも言えない趣味を持っている。その頃、市川の住む町で奇妙な事件が多発。それは地球征服をたくらむ宇宙人の仕業だった。市川扮するゼブラーマンは、ひょんなことからその宇宙人と戦うことになり…。
   確信犯的B級映画のように見せつつ、信じることの強さというストレートなメッセージを発しているあたり、ヒーローものとしてはかなり王道。何より、そのメッセージを体現する人間くさい主人公が魅力的だ。マスクをつけて熱演した哀川翔の、やたらマッチョなわけでも単にコワモテなわけでもないのにしっかり“男のカッコよさ”を感じさせる存在感はさすが。（安川正吾）

　この映画を白黒でつけるとすると間違い無く白の映画です。とても面白い映画でした。
　まず主役の哀川さんが良かった。いつもは頼れる兄貴みたいな役柄が多いから今回のような役柄んは難しいんじゃないかと思っていましたが、そんなことはありませんでした。やはりこの作品で映画主演100本目というだけあると思いました。他のキャストで言うと鈴木京香さん、子役の子、渡部篤郎さん、大杉さんの演技が素晴らしかったです。
　脚本は良かったと思います。とても面白かったです。笑わせる所は笑わせて、シリアスなシーンも忘れない。さすがは宮藤官九郎だと思いました。昔の仮面ライダーの第一期シリーズの頃を思わせる映像が良かったと思います。やはりあの頃の仮面ライダーが一番良かったんじゃないかなと思いました。
　昔のヒーロー物が好きだったお父さんを始めその子供が見ても面白い映画だと思います。見てみる価値はある映画だと思います。

すっかりあか抜けてしまった哀川翔ですが、この作品って生徒の信じている伝説を汲み取って行動するんですね。
〜マンというくらいですから、なんかもうスーパーマンみたく、普段の時は周りから邪険にされるのですが、それでもいいんです。
縁の下の力持ち。

ゼブラーマンの変装して『ジュース買いにいっちゃおうかなぁ』という哀川さんは非常にいい
三池監督作で『フルメタル極道』も『殺し屋１』も『ゼブラーマン』も
ぎりぎりのところでそれぞれが極道映画、殺し屋映画、特撮映画と位置付けでき、コメディ映画になりきれてないさまが若干消化不良
本作もおもしろいんですが、笑わせたいのならもっと笑わせてほしいし、一歩退いたとこで勝負したいのならもう一歩退いてほしかった
でもこの映画は胸が熱くなるシーンが多いし、男なら絶対おもろい
