２００３年７月リヴァプールで行われたメイオール７０歳記念ｺﾝｻｰﾄ。聴き所はやっぱりブルースブレイカーズの卒業生クラプトン、ミックテイラー、それとバディウィッティングトンのブルースギター！それぞれが持ち味を出した素晴らしい演奏を聞かしてくれる。個人的にはｸﾗﾌﾟﾄﾝがﾌﾟﾚｲした「ﾌｰﾁｰｸｰﾁｰﾏﾝ」が好き。ｸﾗﾌﾟﾄﾝならではの泣きのブルースｷﾞﾀｰは何回聴いても飽きない。またもちろん主役であり彼らの師匠メイオールの円熟味を増した渋い声も最高。それともうひとつ、見逃してはならないのが、クリスバーバーのゲスト出演でしょう。いやーそれにしても豪華な面子です。

まだまだ現役でがんばるJohn Mayallの70才バースデーコンサート。
集まるべき人は他にもいるだろと思うが、とりあえず売るにあたってネーム
バリューのある二人に絞ったというのは賢明かも知れない。
（あんまりゲストばかりでも焦点がぼけますので）
Eric Clapton参加はDISC-1の10、DISC-2の1-6、9
Mick Taylor参加はDISC-1の6-9、DISC-2の8-9ということでClapton、Taylor
の二人が一緒に参加してるのは最後の一曲のみ。
とにかく主役のMayallがじじい（失礼！）とは思えないくらい熱い。
ゲストがいくらビッグだろうが結局自分の弟子としか思ってないのだろう。
年取って元気なのはThe Whoが一番と思っていたが、これ聞いて他にも
元気なオールドロッカーはいたぞとうれしくなりました。
ClaptonやTaylorのギターもいいがやはり主役の歌を聴いて泣け。

Johnがオープニングから出てこないところが渋いネ。途中からMickやEricが出て来て最高のBluesを聴かせてくれる。全員参加のアンコールまでBlues最高！MickとEricの競演がアンコールのみはちょっと寂しいネ。Bluesの名盤がまた、1枚誕生！ところで、ピーターは、何処！
