落ち着いた雰囲気の佳作『Juve the Great』は、ジュヴィナイルのキャッシュ・マネーへの帰還を告げるアルバムだ。というわけで、マニー・フレッシュによるシンセサイザーを駆使した相性抜群のビートも戻ってきた。「In My Life」では、フレッシュのフック（“俺はクルマを買う、俺は服を手に入れる、俺は美しい女たちを感激させる”）がジュヴィナイルのハスキーでニュー・オリンズなまりのあるラップを無理なく引き立てている。「It Ain’t Mines」では芸術が人生を模倣するという現象が見られる。このトラックでジュヴィナイルは親子鑑定なんて当てにならないといった意味のことを言っているが、実生活では彼自身が親子鑑定をめぐるドラマに巻き込まれている最中だ。
チンピラっぽい題材とヴォーカル・ワークは過去のアルバムと同趣向だが、ジュヴィナイルは実験的な方向にも乗り出し、Griz、Ad Future、Slice Tといった有望な新人のビートをミックスに取り込んでいる。派手なクラブ・アンセムは本作にはないが、「Bounce Back」はリアルな物語を語る際の彼の比類ない才能を物語るトラックだ。ここには、マグノリア・プロジェクトによって街角のハスラーから人気MCへと這い上がり、思いやりにあふれた父親になるまでの彼の姿が、紋切り型に陥ることなく描かれている。（Dalton Higgins, Amazon.com）
