   サッカーアクションゲームの代名詞ともいえる「ウイイレ」シリーズ。本作は既に発売されている『ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン7』を進化・改良しインターナショナルと銘打ち海外有名クラブも実名追加されている。

   前作『7』の改良版ということで豊富な要素を追加。特筆すべきは、日本語、英語はもちろんイタリア語、スペイン語、フランス語、ドイツ語と全6カ国語の文字表示と実況音声が用意されている点。ヨーロッパ中継のリアルな雰囲気を楽しむことが可能だ。

   またセリエAのユベントス、オランダのフェイエノールトも実名で追加されている。日本代表選手が実名なのは前作同様だが、選手枠が38人から45人に増えている。2003年後半で活躍した代表選手もリストに載っている。有名選手の固有モーションも多く追加されているので、マニアックなファンにはうれしい。（岡田幸司）

現在その豊かな操作性と圧倒的グラフィック、絶妙なゲームバランスで日本で確実にミリオンをとれる数少ないソフトとなった「ウイニングイレブン」シリーズ。その最新作がいよいよお披露目になりました。
今作は2003年夏に発売されたウイニングイレブン７にさまざまな要素が追加された完全版。

DVD-ROMになったことにより実況音声、表示言語ともに6カ国（日本語、英語、スペイン語、ドイツ語、フランス語、イタリア語）の切り替えが可能に。より欧州サッカーをテレビで観戦している雰囲気が伝わってくるようになりました。

またクラブチームの実名化も前作のACミラン等からさらにユベントスとフェイエノルートが追加。ついにネドヴェドも実名に。さらにクラブチームのユニフォームも最新のものに一新。またフリー移籍もさらにやりやすく改良されました。

日本代表にも19人の選手が追加されました。注目されるべく久保や藤田もちゃんと入っています。もちろん日本代表のユニフォームも最新のものに。

モーションも追加され、世界的に有名な選手各個人のデモもさらにパワーアップ。

さらに肝となるゲームバランスも進化しました。前作で不人気だったハンドの数は激減。更にゴール前の混戦が熱くなること間違いなしです。そしてスライディング判定もより細やかに。きちんとボールに触れていればファールにはならないよう理不尽な判定がなくなりました。また、中央突破とサイドアタックのバランスが悪かった過去何作かですが、今作は絶妙に調整されてるそうです。これでセンタリング→ヘディングがうまく決まるだけでなく、簡単にヘディングクリアもできなくなりました。
その他チャレンジトレーニング等も進化し完全に前作を凌いでいる今作。サッカー好きなら5分やっただけでその有り余るリアリティに気づくはずです。
是非購入されることをお勧めします。

ボール持ってない選手の動きが悪すぎる。
「ここに来てくれればチャンス作れるのに」って時に変なトコに走ってくし、ボールに関係ない選手はスタスタと歩いてる。
せめて、攻撃の時だけでもいいからボールに関係ない選手の動きを良くして欲しい。

PSPのユビキタスエボリューションもPS2の８＆９もやったけど
どの作品もその所は全く変わらず。
リアルなトコを求めるのはいいけど、なんかリアルっていうのが逆の方向に向かってる。
選手のグラフィックとかより、動きを良くしようよ。

EAのトータルフットボールとかの方が面白そうだ（やったことないけど）

これが出ると聞いたときはかなりの期待を持っていたのですが、最初プレイしてみたときはユベントスやフェイエノールトなどがユニフォームなどが本物になっていたことに満足していたのだが、深いところを見てみると納得できないところが多々あった。

相変わらずのオランダ・ドイツのナショナルチーム選手の実名じゃないところや、選手のスパイクを本物にしたくてエディットしてみるとスパイクの種類がかなり減っていてショックだった。クラブチーム・ナショナルチームともにアルファベットでしか表示できないようになっているし変えられるのかと思いきやなんと変えることができない。スタジアムはカタカナに変えることができるのに・・・。クラブチームのフラッグをエディットしてみるとストックすると画像が荒れて荒れて苦労が水の泡になってしまうし。

正直こういう点は６や６ＦＥ、７のほうがよかったと思った。しかしそうは言っても操作感や前回問題になったハンドのことなども改正されているので前回よりは進化していた。そしてなにより新しくブレイクした選手のデータや移籍が既に完了していることが一番大きい。
全体的には面白いし、８はそういうところを改良してほしいと思った。
