歌の翼に、しか知らなかったメンデルスゾーンの歌曲が、こんなにも可愛らしく、優しく心を捉えるとは。。また、ボニｰの澄み切った声がなんともチャーミングで、春を迎えてわくわくするような雰囲気が最後まで続きます。ボニｰの声は本当に清らかでどこまでも透き通っていて、全く無理がない。声楽ファンであれば、絶対にそろえておいて損はありません。　メンデルスゾーン再発見のCDです。

メンデルスゾーンは19世紀のモーツァルトなどと揶揄されることがあるが、確かに一部そう感じさせないわけではない。ロマン派の他の作曲家と比べると、よくも悪くも小ぢんまりしていて破綻がないところがそう感じさせるのであろう。しかし、これがまたメンデルスゾーンのいいところであり、また清潔感を感じさせる部分だとも思うので、個人的にはとても好きな作曲家でもある。
さて、このＣＤであるが、実にすばらしいと思う。
ボニーの透明で清潔な声に、無駄のないあっさりとした歌い方はメンデルスゾーンの小さくも美しい歌曲にぴったり合っていると感じる。すっきりとして凛としたボニーの歌は、ここではいい意味でモーツァルトから感じられるような美しさをもたらしている。演出過多なところはないのだが、聞いているとすっきり伸びる声がすっと耳になじみ実に気持ちよくしてくれる。
伴奏のジェフリー・パーソンズもまた絶妙で、ボニーの声のジャマをせず、きっちりとボニーの歌を支え、メンデルスゾーンのコンパクトでありながら完成された作品を見事に演奏している。
ボニーとパーソンズのモーツァルトもシューベルトもすばらしいが、もしかするとこのメンデルスゾーンが一番なのではないかとも思っている。
