   DREAMS COME TRUEのデビュー15周年を記念してリリースされた、2枚組のラヴ・バラード・コレクション。彼らの楽曲は、アップテンポだと中村正人のリズムセンスが曲をリードする感じがあるが、スローだと吉田美和のソウルフルなヴォーカルが強い印象を残す。そういった意味でこれは、吉田美和の声が持つセンチメンタルな世界観を堪能するためのアルバムと言えそう。ごく最近の音源とデビュー直後の音源が並んでもほとんど違和感を感じさせないあたりは、レベルの高い楽曲を作り続けてきた証明だろう。

   収録された24曲中、17曲が既発のベストアルバム『THE SOUL』には未収録で、レア音源も多い。コアファンのみならずとも押さえておきたいアイテムだ。（剛吉若寸也）

この企画を見たときオモロイなぁ、と感じたけど、デビューアルバムの「悲しいKiss」や２枚目の「未来予想図II」あたりが堂々と入っていたり、最近の曲もあったりで選曲も偏りがないように思える。その上、Disc１，２ではなく、「DISC BLEU -torch song collection-」「DISC ROUGE -love song collection-」と単なるバラードセレクションでないのもよい。

　それで「BLEU」から聴いてみたら、一曲目からピアノ伴奏の「いつのまに」、五曲目の「LAT43'N」はヴァイオリンやチェロのリミックス（ボーカルは間違いなく'80年代の吉田美和）に驚き、「SNOW DANCE」のアカペラも吉田美和のボーカルが強調されてGood。ホント切ない曲が多いDISCです。

　「ROUGE」は今や有名になりすぎた感もある「未来予想図」「未来予想図II」や一昨年CMで使われた「a little walz」、映画に使われた「crystal vine」、日本語曲を英語化した「ETERNITY」「WINTER SONG」など、満喫できる内容です。

　ドリカムはデビューから買い続けています（もちろん「BEST OF DREAMS COME TRUE」「The SOUL」も持っています）が、この２枚組はイイですね。

来年3月に、デビュー15周年を記念してのラブ・バラードコレクション。2枚組で１枚は「幸せな気持ちを歌ったラブソング」コレクション=”Disc Rouge（赤盤）”、2枚目は「片思い、悲しい想いを歌ったトーチソング」コレクション=”Disc Blue(青盤）”という形になっていて、バラード好きな人には心憎いセレクトだと思います。バラードという括りは、バラードは括れない。アルバム『Greatest Hits"The Soul"』には未収録の楽曲が17曲と、もうベストは持っているという人にも十分に答えられる内容になっています。

ドリカムのバラード曲の詰まったアルバムです。冬という季節に本当に似合う曲が勢揃いといった感じで、一曲一曲がすごく心に染みます。

ドリカムの明るいポップな曲もいいですが、このアルバムでバラードをまとめて聴くと、改めてドリカムというアーティストの大きさを実感できました。このアルバムを聴いた時に感じる「ドリカムの世界」というのは、想像以上に大きかったです。

今まであまりドリカムを聴いたことのなかった人も、是非このアルバムから始めてみてはどうでしょうか？
