Turbolinux 10 Desktop(TL10d) は、Windows を意識したデスクトップ用途に特化した Linux です。TL10d の特徴として「Linux Kernel 2.6採用（私は専らこれが目的で購入）」、「WindowsUpdate を意識した Turboアップデート（結構便利）」、「卓越した日本語環境」が挙げられます。Basic 版は「日本語フォント」や「Acrobat Reader」が付属しています。これらの環境が揃ってこれだけ価格が抑えられている点は評価出来ると思います。さらに Turbolinux 10 Desktop (ASIN：B0000V78V8) には「ATOK X for Linux」や「StarSuite 7」や「Acronis Partition Expert 2003製品版（かなり使えます）」も付属されています。それなりな値段はしますが、値段以上の価値はあると思っています。Red Hat がコンシューマー事業から撤退してしまった今、デスクトップ Linux としての今後が期待されています。TL10d がその選択肢の一つに残っていることを期待します。

エラーメッセージが英語なのは許せるとして、インストール画面まで英語だとちょっと引いてしまいますね。
要所要所にそういう不親切なところがあります。
でも、インストールが完了すれば、かなり使えます。

何がキッツいってもう最初のインストール！
WINDOWS使いはもうほぼ壊滅するかと。
ユーザー登録するとサポートが三回受けられると書いてありますが。
そもそも具体的マニュアルが「添付されてない(超重要！)｣ので。
知識ゼロからセットアップしようとすると三回なんてもんじゃ利きません。
肝心の使い始めてからサポートという選択肢が無くなってしまいます。
しかもエラーメッセージやインストール画面は全部英語！
「それらを克服出来るぐらいの人、若しくはすでに克服している人」
売りたい人たちが根本的に他のＯＳと違うのですね。

したがってLINUXを知り尽くしている方やもうすでに知っている人達？
それ以外の方は特にこれ買わなくても良いかと。
LINUXでもこれを買わねばならない理由は存在しないかと思われますが。

星一個。
