金城武。役柄によってイメージが変わるのは役者として当たり前ですが、この人ほど色んな表情を見せてくれる人はいません。
朴訥・人なつっこさ・照れ屋・ふと見せる寂しげな横顔。そして、むこうみず・強引・強い光のまなざし。両極に位置するはずのイメージをごく自然に演じて見せる（本人が意図するしないに関わらず）彼。

まだ演技に硬さが残るケリー・チャンを見事に引き立たせて、大人の御伽話を真摯に時にコミカルに先導。
人と関わる事で自分も他人（ひと）も癒す「探し屋」さんのナーは、彼が演じたキャラクターの中でもトップクラスに入るのではないでしょうか。

”人はみな、それぞれが魔術師なのです。”このケリーの台詞が、観終わった後内側から心をほんのり温めてくれます。

たとえば、失くし物をした時、迷った時、落ち込んだ時、
ナーさんが現れて、一緒に解決してくれるかも知れない、という希望を抱くことが出来ます。
たとえ解決できなくても、その過程が大事であって、
以外にもそれは身近なところにあると気づかせてくれるのです。
挿入歌も素敵です。
金城くんと一緒にデュエットしましょう♪

朴訥でひたむきでそして大地のような強い生命力を感じさせる金城武演じるナー君、自らの死期を知りながらもナー君やその仲間たちと出会い「希望」を見つけ出してゆくケリーチャン演じる気高く透明感溢れるラム。

中国への返還を間近にした香港とスコットランドを舞台に繰り広げられるストーリイは大陸から来た男とスコットランド人との間で揺れるヒロインを描きその頃の’香港’ともオーヴァーラップします。

「死」がこの映画の重要なテーマでありますが観終えたあと不思議と温かい気持ちになり生きていくことに前向きになれる映画です。

香港の持つエネルギッシュさとヨーロッパナイズされた上品さを併せ持つこの作品を私は自信を持ってお奨めいたします。
