大人気ドラマ、古畑任三郎の記念すべき第一回収録。
刑事コロンボ、エラリー・クイーンなど海外ドラマの良さを三谷幸喜一流の手腕で日本ドラマに取り入れた異色作。ゲストの豪華さ、演技、演出、すべてがよくできてる最高のドラマだと思う。

第１回　死者からの伝言　中森明菜
嵐の夜に洋館を訪れた、古畑は地下室で死んでいる男と対面する事件。話に波がないわりに
ダイイングメッセージの逆転の発想がよくできてる。シリーズ初回にして最高傑作に近い。

第２回　動く死体　堺正章
常に笑いながら相手を探る、心理戦が見所。ラストの終わり方も大人のユーモアでいい。

第３回　笑える死体　古手川祐子
あまりに間の抜けた話ではあるが、神経医の女医と古畑の知的なやりとりはおもしろい。
心理学上の「一番、目に付きやすいものは、一番見つけにくい」という発想からの
驚愕のラストが最高。

ミステリーに欠かせないものの一つが「伏線」。クライマックスのあっと驚く謎解きが、物語にそれまでに登場した要素と全く無関係であれば、そのミステリーは「ご都合主義」という厳しい批判を浴びることになります。それが現れた時点では全く伏線とは気づかれずことなく、最後の最後になって「あれが伏線だったのか！」と誰しもを唸らせる-すぐれた伏線とはそういうものでしょう。小説における伏線は文字の羅列の中に隠されますが、古畑任三郎のようなテレビドラマにおける伏線は、映像の中に「それとなく」映し出されます。このDVDに収録された記念すべきシリーズ第１話でも、冒頭のシーンである伏線がきちんと仕込まれています。一度ぼーっと見ただけでは気づかないかもしれません。DVDなどの「何度も見直せる」メディアがあって初めて、万人に「なるほど、これね」と納得してもらえる、そんな伏線です。（映像における伏線はどうしてもそういったものにならざるを得ないという面もあるのですが。）皆さんぜひ探してみてください。また、この種の伏線が好きな方には、『スネーク・アイズ』という映画もおすすめです。

やはり出演者が豪華ですね。これだけ豪華なゲストが出演したドラマはないのではないでしょうか?
私のお気に入りは第1話の中森明菜です。今と変わらずとても綺麗で3話ある中でストーリーも1番面白かったです。
2、3話は最後に犯人を追い詰める時、少し雑かなと思ったので星を1つ減らしました。
