穏やかに加湿する気化式ということで購入しました。

さて実物はなんとも原始的。ちょっとびっくりしました。水桶の上半分にスリットの窓が開いていて、下半分には水を入れる。その中央にフィルター（硬いスポンジのシートを輪にしたもの）がぷかぷか浮いています。上には大きなファンのついた蓋。以上です(!)。これでこのお値段はちょっと高いかな、というのが正直な感想です。

ほこりと水道中のカルシウムが直接フィルターに沈着するので、１シーズンに1~2回フィルターの交換が必要です。毎週フィルターを洗います。当然のことかもしれませんが、この掃除を怠るとフィルターがまったく水を吸わなくなって加湿できなくなることもありました（新品のフィルターも数週間で...涙)。

本体もシンプルなつくりなので、汚れが目立つかもしれないです。

加湿能力は、フィルターの状態にもよると思うのですが、少し物足りないときもありました。フィルターの手間と値段、機能を考えると来シーズンも使うかどうかはまだ考えています。でも気化式に関してはよいと思いました。

大きさは炊飯器くらいで、蓋の裏に付いたファンで四側面から吸気・上面から排気する形です。
騒音は、弱めに回した扇風機くらいで、真横に置いて気にしようと思えばできる程度。
9畳部屋で使っていますが、加湿能力は充分です。
蓋とフィルターを取ればただの水桶という非常に単純な作りですが、その分メンテナンス性も高く、トラブルの恐れもありません。
そして電動部がファンだけのため、スチーム型の加湿器に比べて消費電力が一桁違いますので、
その自然な加湿方法もあって、つけっぱなしておける便利な加湿器です。
フィルター洗いの手間を考え、星は四つとしました。

気化式なのでカビの心配はいらないのですが、
フィルターの掃除が面倒です。
すぐ、よごれるし･･･。
我家ではリビングに使っていましたが、
使用頻度が高すぎて、フィルターの掃除が面倒になり
今では寝室用に使用しています。
