今までいくつかのカードゲームやボードゲームを楽しんできましたが、私が体験した中で最もおもしろく、盛り上がるカードゲームです！！
プレイヤーは、８種類あるキャラクターカードから誰にもわからないように１つのカードを選びます。カードには、「暗殺者」「泥棒」「魔法使い」「国王」「伝道師」「商人」「建築士」「傭兵」といったものがあり、それぞれそのターンでできることが違います。
そのキャラクターカードをうまく利用し、お金を貯めて建物をたてていくのがこのゲームの目的です。
時には、「暗殺者」になり、ライバルのひいたキャラクターカードが何かを読んでやっつけたり、「泥棒」になって、お金持ちのお金を奪ったりします＾＾
「相手がどのカードを持っているのか」を見極めるのがこのゲームの醍醐味です。
小学校１年の娘には少し難しいかもと思いましたが、すぐにルールを理解し、楽しんでいます。親戚が集まったときには、いつもこのゲームを出してきて大盛り上がりしています！

このゲームの醍醐味は「他のプレーヤーがどんなカード（職業）を選ぶのか」を推理することです。

プレイヤーは、暗殺者・泥棒・魔法使い・国王・伝道師・商人・建築家・傭兵の
８種類から職業を選ぶのですが、ラウンドの最初にまずブラインドで数枚のカードを
場に伏せた後、残りのカードの中から希望する職業のカードを選び、次のプレイヤーに
残りのカードを回します。渡されたプレイヤーは足りないカードが判るので
前のプレイヤーがどんな職業を選んだのかをある程度予想することができるのです。

全員の職業が決定すると、前述の職業の順にプレイします。１番目の暗殺者が曲者で
他のプレイヤーの職業を指定して暗殺し１回休みの状態にします。
自分が選んだ職業が容易に推理できると暗殺されてしまうので、本当はなりたい職業を
ぐっとこらえて暗殺者の裏をかいたりもします。
このシステム、最初は判りにくいかもしれませんが、慣れると読み合いが熱いです。

カードの絵が現代風で好みの分かれるところですが、役もいろいろと用意されていて
最後の逆転も可能になっておりとてもゲームバランスがよいと感じました。おすすめです。

最近、１つのデッキにシングルカード価格で
１万円ぐらいかけることが当たり前のトレカが流行っておりますが、
このカードゲームは拡張セットこそあれど、
このセットだけ購入すれば、それだけで遊べます。

絵も非常にセンスを感じるものが多く、
アンティーク好きの方は、琴線に触れるものがあるんじゃないでしょうか？
コインのデザインも、実物感溢れてて良いです。
ですが、カードはスリープなどを購入しないと、
シャッフルを繰り返すとすぐ痛むので、セットで買うことをお勧めします。

あと、人数によってゲームの感覚が違います。
「少人数でスムーズに」と「大人数でじっくり」と遊べる２つに分かれてます。
さくさく遊びたいときは、少人数で遊べば、結構楽しめますよ〜。
それでいて大人数で楽しむのも向いてます。素晴しいバランスです。

ゲーム内容としては、「心理戦」です。
カイジの「Ｅカード」みたいに熱い読み合いが展開されること間違いなし！
特に「暗殺者」の存在がゲームを熱くしてます。
暗殺者の目を欺いた時も快感、狙い通りに暗殺するのもまた快感です。

トレカじゃない故にデッキ構築の要素がありませんが、
若干ヴェテラン有利ですが、素人でも勝てる見込みは十分にあり、
“とっつきやすさ”があると思います。
是非、家族や恋人、友達なんかも引き込んじゃって、
楽しんで遊んでください。
