私の『コジ』開眼のきっかけとなり、現在も最高の映像だと思ってます。個々の歌手達が、それぞれの旋律も含めて、歌の意味を深く理解してると思います。

ほとんど歌詞無視の演出なのに、心の深いところに訴えかけてくるものがあるということは、常套的な歌い方に慢心していたら不可能でしょうし、楽譜の通りに歌ったわ！では済まされない何かがあるのだと思います。

ドイツの女性映画監督が演出した舞台で、映像処理にもセンスの良さが随所に現れます。
序曲のところから、歌劇場の内部の様子や、観客がこの演奏をワクワクしながら待っている様子が映し出され、自分もその場にいるような雰囲気が味わえます。

時には指揮者も芝居にからみますし、お客様に訴えかけるような『視聴者参加型』の場面もあります。バレンボイムの指揮も、最近の軽めモーツァルトとは一線を画した、重さが心地いいです。

『コジ』は『フィガロ』や『ドン・ジョヴァンニ』と比較して、どうも馴染めない・・と思っていらっしゃる方、古典オペラは演劇性がなくって、ちょっと退屈だな・・と感じていらっしゃるには、是非オススメします。一見の価値あり！です。
