何でもない風景に素敵な色と匂いを与えることができる歌い手はそれほど多くない。それだけに、ここ1年ほどで矢野が見せている唄うたいとしての成長ぶりは聴き手として素直に嬉しい。寺岡呼人の作曲/プロデュースによるこのシングルも、別段印象的なフレーズがあるわけではないのに、彼女のヴォーカルの凄みでじっくりしみじみと聴かせる。凄みとはいっても、決してエキセントリックなわけではなく、むしろ恋人の胸の中で眠るような安心感があるのが彼女の美点だ。控えめで素朴な表現に最大級の感動がある。音楽の大きな醍醐味だ。 (平野敬三) --- 2003年12月号

街中で流れていても、テレビから流れていても、
何気なく聴き流してしまうことが多い最近の曲。

けれど、この曲は聴き流すことを許さないほどの引力がある。
耳にした途端、思わず足を止めて振り返ってしまった程だ。

魅力はなんといってもその声。
力強く歌い上げる彼女の声には、それでいて優しさも感じる。

誰もが胸に締まっているどうしようも無い哀しみや痛み。
この歌は決して聴く者を励ましてるわけでも応援しているわけでもない。
けれど聴いた後は感動と共に胸がすっとしている自分がいる。
本当に素敵なバラードだ。

私は、初めて矢野さんの曲を聞いたのですが、
とっても、心にしみます･･･
とくに、サビの「泣いて泣いて泣いて･･･」の部分が、
とても、本当に泣きそうになってしまいました。

全体的に、しっとりして聴きやすい曲です。
夜とか、寂しいときとかに聞くとすごく共感できるのでは(＾＾)
