   2ndアルバム『a watercolor』が好調な中、今度は来るべき秋冬にぴったりのミニアルバムを…。とは思っても、「東京で登山の俺はまだ途中で野営（ビバーク）している」という意思表示がこのタイトル。なんともスネオ＝渡辺健二らしい。分野はまるっきり違えども、解剖学者・養老孟司氏の「幸せとはいいことだが、一方では他人への理解が減ることだ」という言説を思い出してしまった。

   ニヒリズムとひねくれギリギリの場所から、誰より腹にモノをためられない彼が、ロックでのみ鳴らせる何か。時にギャラガー兄弟をしのぐような素晴らしいメロディ（特にインディーズ時代の名曲大作「冬の翼」の大仰な美しさよ！）に本質的な王道っぷりを感じる。YUKIへの提供曲「コミュニケーション」も収録。（石角友香）

半年という短期インターバルを経ての、堂々のミニ・アルバム。生々しい感情を抱えつつ中庸でありつづけようとしている彼が、それでも派手に盛り上がり、かつ沈静着実に音を紡ぐベクトルをみつけたようだ。あとは、キャッチーなヒット・ナンバーが生まれれば何もいうことはない。

本人もこの作品を「素」の部分だと言っていたが、
その通りいつもより音に飾り気もなく全体的に地味な印象である。
しかし聞けば聞くほどに、彼のそのままの思いが染み出てくるように思える。
「スネオヘアー」と名乗ることで、そのシニカルだったりネガティブだったりする感情をコミカルでポップなもので包んでいる彼だけれど、
この「東京ビバーク」は「スネオヘアー」というより「渡辺健二」としての私的で素直な思いが込められているように感じた。

初めこのアルバムはなんか聞く気になれなくて、逆にしょぼいと思い込んでいたけど、聞いてそう思い込んでいた自分が間違ってました！！これを早く聞きたかった！！まず「冬の翼」←は聞いた瞬間に惚れましたｗｗすごい壮大な曲になっていてスネオ得意の季節感が前面に出ていると思った。
「ｔｗｏ」は「見つけたこれが愛を降り注ぐ~」という歌詞にぐぐっときてしまいました。。。他にはＹＵＫＩさんに楽曲提供した「コミュニケーション」など・・・聞き応えのあるアルバムです★☆

全部良いんだけど、とくに「２（two)」が良い！　この曲を聴けば、絶対何か現実について考えさせられることと思います。

抜群のメロディセンスは相変わらずだが、アコースティックな音作りと暗さは一層強まっている。そのためこれはファン向けです。
