自分は、アーリータイムズの一枚目を玉置浩二のソロのベストとして初めて買っていたので、それに関しては、B面も収録されていましたし、デビュー曲『オールアイドゥー』から『コール』まで、ベストらしい初期のベスト盤だったと言えると思いますが、この二枚目のアーリータイムズは収録曲を見ても、収録されている曲は、一枚目のベストと同じでただ３曲適当に詰め込まれただけと言えます。玉置ファンとしてたくさんのアルバムを見てきてますから、駄作的な物は一目見て分かりますし、このアルバムで売りとしてる事は、田園が１曲目に来てるのが一番の売りだと思います。僕としては、87年のデビュー曲〜93年までの曲を聴きたいのなら『アーリータイムズ』、それ以降を聴きたいのなら『ベスト〜田園』がベストらしいベストだと思います。

1997年リリースの｢Early Times｣に､レコード会社の枠を越えて
紅白で最高視聴率を獲得した｢田園｣等を追加したこの一枚｡
一番の魅力は何といっても価格ではないでしょうか?
私は｢田園｣を聴くために購入したのですが､｢コール｣や｢Only You｣等､
玉置浩二の新たな魅力を知るには十分なアルバムでした｡
本人はこのアルバムの製作には直接関わっていないみたいですが
価格の割りに十分楽しめるないようだと思います｡

玉置さんのキティ時代のソロ作品のシングルを
中心とした楽曲と大ヒットした｢田園｣が収録されています。
｢キツイ｣、｢I'm Dandy｣は今では考えられないような
はじけた楽曲で聴いていて楽しいです。
またテレビドラマの主題歌となった｢行かないで｣、｢氷点｣、
映画の主題歌にもなった｢コール｣など超名曲のバラードが
目白押しで一聴の価値があります。
またなかなか聴く機会が少ないシングルのカップリングも
収められております。
デジタルリマスタリングされているので音質も向上してます。
