どっかのラジオ局のDJが、クリスマスとなるとどうしてもマイケルの声が聞きたくなるんですよね、と言っていて、それ以来トラウマ的にクリスマス＝マイケルになっています。という訳でこのCDを買いました。クリスマスも近いし。

子供の頃は天才と言われ、大人になったら普通の人になる例が多い芸能界で、子供故に認められている自分に胡坐をかかず、人知れず努力したであろう幼いマイケルの声に魅かれる私です。誰のどんな曲を歌おうと全て自分のオリジナルにしてしまうマイケルには（プライベートで何があろうとも）ただただ畏敬の念を断じ得ません。収録当時12歳のマイケル、大人になる前の荒削りだけど伸びやかな歌声はいつまでも聴いていたくなります。

全11トラックのうちマイケルがリードを取っているのは2/4/6/9/10/11の6曲しかないのが残念。ジャクソン５だから仕方ないけど。後はジャーメインが1/3/7/8でリード取ってます。ジャーメインも普通にいいSingerなんだけど、マイケルと一緒に歌ってはいけません。（ジャーメインは大人になってから、自分のアルバムでマイケルと共演したことがあるけど、完全にマイケルに食われていた。）ボーナストラックはもちろんマイケルがリード、短いメッセージ付きなのが嬉しい。

楽しいクリスマス気分を味わいたいならやはり2と11ですね。4もノリノリになれます。今すぐCheck it out!

　ジャクソン５はご存知の通り69年にモータウンからデビューし「I want you back」「ABC」「The Love you save」「I'll be there」連続4曲の全米No'1ヒットを放ちました。その勢いの中で発表された1970年の快作がこのクリスマス・アルバムで、まさに旬のアーティストの良さが良く出たアルバムと言えます。１曲目のジャーメインの歌も15歳とは思えない味わい。11曲目のマイケルの弾けるボーカルも絶品です。まあ、ぜひ一度聴いてみてください。

　ちなみに、1973年の、モータウンのアーティストのクリスマス・アルバムから選曲したオムニバスの「モータウン・クリスマス」もおいしいとこ取りで、いいですよ。

数年前にラジオでかかった、マイケルの「ママがサンタにキスをした」がとても印象的で、頭から離れなかったので、買ってしまいました。
幼少のころのマイケルの高音ボーカルは最高ですね。複数持っているクリスマスアルバムの中でもお気に入りの一枚となりました。
ただ、個人的には、マイケルがメインとなる曲がもう少し欲しかった。
クリスマス季節では永遠に使える一枚と思います。オススメ。
