カフェで持ち合わせが無くチップが払えない警官のチャーリーは、ウェイトレスのイボンヌに「宝くじが当たったら半分を君にあげる」と約束する。数日後、なんと宝くじは当たりチャーリーは約束を通り半額をイボンヌに渡す。しかし、チャーリーは宝くじが当たる事よりもイボンヌと知り合うという最高の幸運を手に入れていた。ニコラス・ケイジ、ブリジット・フォンダの豪華共演で贈るラブコメディ。

この映画、実話を元にしてるんです。でも、実話とは思えないほどの、素敵なお話。この映画を見るまで、ニコラスケイジがこんな役柄を演じられることは知りませんでした。不器用で誠実で心優しい彼は最高に魅了的。ブリジットフォンダはいつもどおりすごくかわいいです。恋愛の話なんだけど、人の善意の素晴らしさも感じられる作品なんです。また、映画の舞台となっているニューヨークの街角がいたるところで効果的に使われていて、映画をよりおしゃれに演出してます。とにかく作品全体に愛があふれていて、見終わった後、絶対に心が温かくなること請け合いです。

大好きな作品です。１枚の宝くじが引き起こす不思議な物語が、心温ま
るラブストーリーを中心に展開されます。決して派手さはないし、お決
まりのハッピーエンドですが、幸せな気持ちにさせてくれるお勧めの１
本です。私はこの作品でブリジットフォンダのファンになりました。
