キャッチーな1曲目、意欲作の2曲目、そして待望のCD化である3曲目。
タイトル曲「君と微笑おう」はツアーで演奏されていたときから歌詞が若干変わっていて、
その分説得力を増しているような気がしますし、
2曲目「ピチカート」は、Waiveには珍しいファルセットを用いたボーカルが聞けます。

珍しいといえば両曲ともにそうで、「今まで（のWaive）にない」という使い古されたたとえに
度合いで点をつけるとしたら、間違いなく今までで一番です。
「そうきたか！」なんて、当たり前すぎて言いたくないけど
つい口をついて出てしまいました。

3曲目「spanner」は、Waiveが初めて出したデモテープからの再録です。

ライブでは必ずといっていいほど演奏され続けて、
おそらく、私以外にもたくさんのファンがこの日を待っていたのではないでしょうか。

ところで、歌詞カードにはそれぞれ曲ごとのイメージ写真とも取れるような写真が載っているのですが…。

「ピチカート」のそれには、いったいどういう意味が隠されているのでしょう？(笑)

一曲目の君と微笑おうですが、初めて聞いた時は正直かなりこの曲が嫌いでした。
非常にWaiveらしくない曲だったからです。
Waiveが歌わなくても他のアーティストが歌ってそうな感じで…。
Waiveが歌う必要はないんじゃないかと思いました。
何回も聞いているうちに拒否反応は消えましたが。

二曲目のピチカートは結構好きです。

三曲目のspanner。
再録されると聞いてかなり期待していたのですが、聞いてみるとなんか微妙でした。
田澤氏の熱意が感じられないというか。
ライブで聞くとかなり胸にくるものがあるのですが、音源で聞くとあれ？となるんですよね。

このバンドはライブが一番なので、ライブCDとか出して欲しいですね。
