「封神演義」をテーマにした中国式アクションロールプレイングゲーム。紀元前1044年、周の武王と太公望に追い詰められた暴君・商の紂王は、摘星楼に立てこもると自ら火を放ち、強い復讐の念を抱いたまま壮絶な死を遂げる。こうして暴君・紂王は倒れ、世の中は周の治世となるが、決して世の中は平和にならなかった。実はその元凶は、紂王の大師・聞仲にあった。紂王が倒れる際に密かに法力を使い、紂王の復讐の念を集めて姿をくらましたため、周の世となった今でも世界には災厄が満ちあふれ、「獣界」や「鬼界」から魑魅魍魎が押し寄せてくるのである。魔王・紂王を封ずるため、数々の試練を乗り越え、「仁」「忠」「孝」「愛」「義」「信」「勇」の「七聖霊」の護身符を手に入れ、「鬼界」へと向かっていく・・・。主人公は、能力の異なる「パワー型」「バランス型」「スピード型」の三人から選択可能。敵を倒すことで経験値を獲得し、その値によって各種必殺技や「奥義」と呼ばれる特別必殺技の習得が可能なほか、自分ならではの「連続招式」を作成できる。
