 「クィディッチ」は、「ハリー・ポッター」シリーズの原作や映画に登場するおなじみのスポーツ。スピードとパワーにあふれる、魔法界でもっとも有名なものだ。このクィディッチを完全再現したのが、本作品である。

   クディッチは1チーム7人の選手が箒に乗り、4つのボールを使って試合を進めていく。基本的には、ボールをゴールに入れれば得点になる競技だ。しかしサッカーやバスケとは違い、「クァッフル」というゴールに入れるボールを1つ、「ブラッジャー」という近くの選手を襲うボールを2つ、「スニッチ」という羽の生えたボールを1つ使用する。

   プレイヤーの担当は、試合のすべての動き。クアッフルで得点する3人のチェイサー、ブラッジャーを防御する2人のビーター、ゴールを防御するキーパー、金のスニッチをキャッチするシーカーという、すべてのポジションを自らの手で体験できる。

   ゲームは、ホグワーツの4つの寮から1つを選んでスタート。まずは5つのチャレンジと寮対抗杯で、ゲームの基本操作を覚えていく。寮対抗杯に勝利したら、次はワールド・カップに挑戦！クィディッチ界の世界一を目指そう。(押上大河)

スポーツらしい臨場感と興奮がたっぷり楽しめる。
最初は４寮の中から一つを選択してチームレッスンを受ける。
キャラクターがフルボイスで自己紹介や案内をしてくれるのが
楽しく、レッスンをクリアすれば寮対抗戦に出場できる。

寮対抗戦では小説でお馴染みのキャラ達と戦う事ができるので
ハリポタワールドを満喫！プレイキャラはボールを中心に移動
していくので、全てのポジションを体験する事になり慣れるまで
苦労するが、スキルがたまってコンボ技が使えるようになると、
まるで自分が参加しているような臨場感を味わえる。

チームプレイが成功すると、アクロバティックなムービーや
キャラクターのガッツポーズが侵入されて、ＴＶのスポーツ
実況中継を見ているみたい！特に寮対抗戦で優勝してから出場する
ワールドカップでは、９カ国のナショナルチームと対戦できるので
盛り上がる。もちろん日本チームもあります。試合展開が早くなると、
味方の判別が難しくなるのが難点だけど、得点を決めた時の解説者の
絶叫と観衆の声には、思わずＴＶの前でガッツポーズしてしまう程
興奮します（笑）

かなり面白い！ゲームが下手な私でも上手くプレイできる。
臨場感もばっちりだし、解説付きなのも本格的。
ここ数年で買ったゲームの中で一番面白い。
ただ、試合をするまでにロードが何回もあって、長い。

１０月の中頃私に衝撃が走った。
クィディッチ・ワールドカップのゲームが出るというのを見たからだ。
ＰＳ２のハリーポッターと秘密の部屋でやったものはスピードがあって、爽快感がありかなり楽しめた。

しかしあの試合数は物足りなかった。

今回発売される「ハリー・ポッター クィディッチワールドカップ」はＰＳ２の秘密の部屋のスピードと

たくさんのチーム、チェイサーやビーターが選べるという嬉しい機能がある。
ＰＳ２ハリーポッターと秘密の部屋で物足りなかった試合数が少ないということを解消してくれることだろう。
