   桑原茂一、小林克也、伊武雅刀の3人からなるスネークマンショーが、81年に出したファースト・アルバム。音楽とギャグがほぼ交互に出てくる構成で、音楽はYMOやサンディー、クラウス・ノミ、スポイルら、当時のテクノ・ポップ~ニュー・ウェイヴが中心。ギャグの方は彼らの定番的代表作が並び、お笑いのキレの良さはやはり4作の中で本作が一番だろう。特に当時のポール・マッカートニー逮捕事件を皮肉った「はい、菊地です」が最高。ヒップな音楽とラジカルなお笑いを組み合わせるという、スネークマンショーの魅力を凝縮した傑作だ。（小山 守）

YMOのモノラル録音から始まり豪華なゲスト陣と奇抜なアイデアの集大成！！ユーモアや様々センスのサウンドが流れる。今からいよいよ80年代が始まるという喜びが伝わってきそうな名盤中の名盤です！！
今もそうですが、お笑いのセンスがいい人はとても賢い人の証拠ですからまさに聞いてるといろんな所に隠されたアイデアが豊富で贅沢なエンターテーメントのアルバムです。大ヒット咲坂と桃内のごきげんいかがワンツースリーも収録です

若き頃に体験したこのアルバム。
久しぶりにｱﾏｿﾞﾝで見つけ購入してしまいました。
今聞いても色あせない緻密な計算のなされた上での
内容の濃い高度なレベルの作品だと思います。
よく耳にする、またよく出てくるフレーズ
「おまえら聞いてんのか！」「おい！」「よぉ！」「カツ丼」「黒電話音」
ちゃんと隅々まで聞いてますから。
＃８、伊武さんの興奮してマイクが抜けてしまう音の入っている
ストップ・ザ・ニューウェーブ、好きです！
まさにニューウェーブ！
オールドウェーブなんて言いませんから。
ただ欠点は、子供のいる家族（私）の前では聞けません。
いつもヘッドホンで聞いてます。

初めてコレを聴いたのは小学5年生の時。コレなんですか？~それはコンドームです。お使いになりますか？？~まっ、まさか・・・。この一連のやり取りのどこが面白いのかまったく分らなかった当時の私は、母親にコレを聴かせてコンドームの意味を問い詰めた。だが、どういうわけか無視を決め込まれた。仕方なくクラスのませた友人に聞き、その意味を知ってビックリ。その後親子関係がギクシャクしたモノになった事は言うまでもありません。以後、スネークマンショーを聴く時は、必ず一人で、尚且つヘッドフォンで聴くことにしてます(確か戦争反対のLPの帯にもそのような注意書きがありました)。今回CDで聴き返してみましたが、やはり不朽ですね。私は「正義と真実」が一番好きです。
