   もし演奏者名を見落としていれば、アルバム・タイトルやブックレットのアートワークに惑わされ、ジャズのCDではないと思ってしまう人もいるだろう。しかし、これは日本マーケットの、それも女性層を強く意識して作られたとおぼしきジャズ・アルバムなのだ。ソフト志向のイメージ戦略を裏切ることなく、サウンドそのものもたいそうお洒落。ビル・エヴァンス風のニュアンスにとんだハーモニーが美しく奏でられ、ピアノ、ベース、ドラムスがお互いのバランスを取りながら滑らかに曲を進めていく。

   選曲は大人っぽいポップスの名曲が中心で、ジャズ通でなくとも楽しめるようにとの配慮がうかがえる。さらにアニメ「千と千尋の神隠し」からのナンバーも取り上げられていて、サービスは十二分といったところ。こうしたコンセプトで作られたアルバムである以上、どぎつい自己表出は避けられているが、クールなリリシズム、フォーク・ジャズ風のアレンジで醸し出されるリラックス感は上質のものだ。（松本泰樹）

アバのヒット曲「ダンシング・クイーン」に「千と千尋の神隠し」のテーマと、かの木全信プロデューサーの売れ線狙いの企画。売れ線狙いはいいとして、すべてのつくりがＢＧＭ風。クールでいかにも北ヨーロッパの白人ジャズトリオの味わいがあるヨーロピアン・ジャズ・トリオの悪い面が目立つ。ジャズのスピリットが感じられず、ただただ美しい「ムード音楽」に堕するぎりぎりの線だ。同じトリオの「哀愁のヨーロッパ」に比べて出来はいま一つ。ＢＧＭと割り切って聴く分にはいいかも。どうも方向性がまちがっている感じがする。ま、クールミント・ガムか清涼剤といったところか。（松本敏之）
