アメリカ帰りのブルースリーが低予算で超劣悪な現場で、その才能、センスを炸裂させた奇跡の傑作!全てブルースリーのおかげ。スナック菓子を喰いながら敵地へ殴り込む、リー先生の姿に震えが止まらない。

言わずと知れた、ブルース・リーの映画主演第一作です。

内容はかなり滅茶苦茶なのですが、ブルースのアクションは秀でていて、表情も豊かな一面も見られます。
ただ当時の日本のヤクザ映画を反映した為か、血の描写が多々あります。
あまりに酷くて、カットされたシーンもいくらかあったそうです。

映像はレンタルなどによくある、線とかコマ落ちは無くなり観賞しやすくなっています。
ただ、「死亡的遊戯２００３スペシャルエディション」のように画像が修整前に比べて少し暗くなっています。

それでも余分な「死亡の塔」とのセットを買うよりかは幾分マシだと思います。
これからブルース・リーのファンになろうとする方々に、観てもらいたいですね。

好きですこの作品。「燃えよドラゴン」よりも個人的には好き。人間味溢れるリー、争いはしないと誓っていたのに、周りの乱闘で母の形見のペンダントが切れて、本人もブチ切れる時の表情が最高。今見るとスーパー単純で小学生でも考え付きそうな話だし、リー以外の登場人物のカンフーアクションもお粗末。リーのオレオレ的なワンマン映画なんだけどいいのだなこれが。全編に渡って「感情」を画面に浮かび上がらせる。まさにそんな映画。これが出来る映画が作れるという点で天性の才能だと思います。物が溢れる現在の肥えた目では中々この良さが分からないかもしれないが、身体で感じて観るのだ。
