ZYXの2ndシングルは、クールな前作から一転してポップで爽やかなナンバー。少女の日常のちょっとしたときめき（彼女にとってはそれが世界の全てなのだが）を歌った歌詞が印象的なダンスナンバーで、クリスマスをイメージしたアレンジが清らかな雰囲気を高めている。歌唱力では（矢口真里は別として）村上愛が一歩リードの感も。「聖なる鐘がひびく夜」「王子様と雪の夜」などにも通じる上質のウィンターソングであり、他ユニットにR&B化の風が吹く中でひときわ新鮮に響く良曲。ジャクソン5っぽい少しファンキーなカップリング曲「常夏娘（ZYX Ver.）」（ココナッツ娘。のシングルのカバー）もいい。

イントロのストリングスのフレーズが第２期タンポポを思い起こさせる。
幼い恋を歌った歌ですが、チューブラーベル、鈴の音、教会音楽的な間奏、そしてウキウキしたムードの曲全体からもクリスマスのイメージが鮮明に浮かび上がり、まさにこの季節にピッタリの曲だと思います。

　この曲を聴いたとき，「タンポポにまた歌ってほしい」と思った。同時に「タンポポが矢口に戻ってきたのかも」とも感じた。もちろんタンポポと異なる点はたくさんあるが，この世界観や雰囲気に似ているものがあると言うぐらいは許される。そしてなにより，タンポポのリリースを待っている私の気持ちがこの曲によってまた吹き出してきたんだと思う。

　前作と比べ矢口が引っ込み，代わりに村上が前面に押し出されている。しかし，矢口の存在感はやはり絶大である。この曲のリアリティは矢口が生み出している。彼女がいなかったらもっと薄っぺらいモノになっていただろう。

　「最近身長延びたね　なんか複雑だわ　遠くに行っちゃいそうで　怖い」って，もしかして矢口の心配か？とも思ったりするが，そんな心配しなくたっていい。だれも矢口から離れてなんか行かない。
