我家に全ラインナップ揃っている氷川きよしくんのＣＤの中で、登板率が一番高いのがこの「男気」。
コンサートツアーの合間に、劇場公演、ハワイ公演と超多忙の中で録音された、一曲一曲が「男」氷川きよしを生きてみせるという心意気を感じる。「玄海竜虎伝」の迫力、「時代を駆ける男」のすがすがしさ…もちろん「強いだけが男にあらず…」というこのＣＤのコピーにもあるように、男の優しさのにじみ出る「おやすみ夕子」も、ファンにはたまらない一曲に仕上がっている。
演歌名曲コレクションのシリーズも楽しみだが、この「銀河」「男気」に続くきよしくん新機軸挑戦シリーズの継続も熱望してやまない。

すいません、先日発売された、玉緒さんとのラブリィさ
ファンながらも、あまりにデュエットや曲調が生理的に
うけつけなく、ガッカリしていただけに、今度のこの
アルバムには非常に満足させて頂きました。

氷川きよしの最大のうりは「１人で熱唱」できる事であって
最近のアイドルやバンドが多くのメンバーがないと歌唱力に

拙い部分があるのに対して、氷川くんには見た目だけじゃなく
ちゃんとした実力ある歌唱力があるから、心惹かれるのだと
改めて実感いたしました。

この人は本当に歌心を知っているなと改めて感じました。口先だけの歌じゃありません。ただの言葉が、歌になるとこうなるのかと聴きほれてしまいました。また、次の1枚に期待してしまいます。
