   加湿器のトップメーカー、カズ社の気化式加湿器。水を加熱して蒸気を噴出する形のスチーム式加湿器に対し、気化式は乾燥した空気を取り込み、一度水をくぐらせて、湿度を加えた空気を出すという仕組み。運転音が若干気になったり、室温を下げたりという短所もあるが、スチーム式より電気代がかからず、何より加湿が「さりげない」のがいいところだ。

   本器は室内の湿度状態によって加湿量を調節するので、常にちょうどいい湿度をキープする。空気が水をくぐることによって空気清浄効果も期待できるし、カズ社独自の「ウィッキング・フィルター」がカルキや雑菌を吸着させるから空気はいつでも清潔。シンプルな設計なので、お手入れも簡単にできる。

   適用面積が広いのも気化式の特徴。本機は6畳(木造住宅和室)~10畳(プレハブ住宅洋室)用。（櫻田もんがい）

以前使っていたボネコの気化式加湿器がモーター故障になり買い換えました。ボネコより更にシンプルな作りでびっくり。音もボネコ以下静かなものです。ボネコは運転しっぱなしだったんですが5年でモーターがお釈迦になったんですが、Ｋａｚも冬中連続運転で使うつもりですから5年以上使えるのかなと思います。
スチーム式のように蒸気を吐き出す型と違い、自然に近い蒸発方式ですから劇的な湿度アップは期待できないのは当然ですし、そんなに湿度を上げるのは如何なものかとも思います。室内の湿度が高くなれば蒸発量が少なくなりますから自動的に湿度コントロールされていると言うのも魅力ですね。
デコレーションの多い日本製品と違い、実質本位、質実剛健さを大いに買いたいものです。

昨年購入確かに音は、大きいですね。ただ店舗での使用なので気になりませでした。水満タンが２日でなくなり乾燥しなくて鼻・喉がらくでした。説明書でのワンシーズン数回のフィルター交換も思ったより汚れず一つのフィルターで済み、掃除も２週間に一度水ですすぐ程度、
メンテナンス・電気代等大満足です。今年は住まい用を購入予定、
日中運転して、夜止めれば音の大きさは解決します。

以前はボネコを使っていましたが、フィルターが高く８回取り替えると本体価格と同じになります。
でも、カズは１／３のランニングコストです。
水の補給口も大きくて、上からヤカンでもペットボトルでもドボドボっと水を入れ易いのが気に入ってます。
