オールマンズ傑作アルバム「フィルモア」の前年のライブ。フィルモアよりも、音がすごく良いので生のライブを聴いているような迫力です。フィルモアは完成系のカッコよさですが、こちらは荒削りなカッコよさです。特にマウンテンジャムはフィルモアよりシビれます。ぜひ聴いてください！

なんだ！この荒々しさとパワーは、凄い凄い。70年代初頭のロックジェネレーションとはこうだった事を今更思い出してしまった。ジョニー・ウインター参加のトリプルリードギターが唸るDisc２の「マウンテンジャム」は、フィルモアの繊細な演奏とは一寸変わってパワフルで粗野で、これぞ「ブッ飛びオールマン！」。理屈抜きで星10個。

　この音源は、｢At Fillmore East｣の次に良い音源と言えます。よくこの手のものは音が悪いことが多いのですが、音がクリアで伸びもあります。｢Live at American University｣や｢Live at Ludlow Garage｣よりもお勧めです。私は、｢At Fillmore East｣に混ぜて、この頃のLIVEベストを作って聞いていますが、全く違和感なく聞けてしまいます。デュアン在籍時のライブ盤を買うなら、｢At Fillmore East [Deluxe Edition]｣の次にこれを買うべきです。
　また、オールマンのライブには、｢At Fillmore East｣のように気合の入ったライブと｢Live at Ludlow Garage｣のようにゆったりとした雰囲気のライブの2種類がありますが、この｢ Live at the Atlanta International Pop Festival｣は２枚組で、そのどちらのライブも各1枚に収まっており、面白味があり、お買得だと思います。特にStatesboro Bluesの終わり方が違うので、まだ、その違いが分からない人は、迷わず買うことをお勧めします。
