1.4倍というのが、何となく中途半端な気がして割高な気もします。ただ、最近発売されたEC-20が「さすがにやや画質の低下が感じられる」との評価なのに対し、このテレコンバータでは画質の低下を実感する事がありません。

望遠レンズと組み合わせて焦点距離を稼ぐより、魚眼レンズや、広角気味のレンズを持ち出して、ちょっと補助的に使うという用途が合っているのかも知れません。

E-3 50-200mm f2.8-3.5 SWDにてサーフィンの撮影をしているのですが、ほとんど200mm付近で撮影することが多く、もう少し望遠になればと思っていたので、テレコンバーターの購入を検討していました。EC-20とどちらを購入するか、悩んだのですが、今回EC-14を購入しました。画質の劣化は、ほんとに少ないと思います。AFのスピードの変化も気にならないです。ただし、画面の四隅は、若干暗くなります。オリンパス製レンズではなく、パナソニックの25mm　F1.4に装着し、ピントをライブビューでマニュアルで合わせるとわかるのですが、ピントの合う範囲がなぜか狭くなります（わかりにくくなります）??

E-Systemは当初からテレコンの利用が想定されているため、魚眼レンズから超望遠レンズまでテレコンの利用が可能である。テレコンの利用目的としては、

１．焦点距離を延ばす。
２．画角を狭める。
３．撮影倍率を上げる。

の三点があり、その全てを利用可能なこのテレコンはハッキリ言おう、買いであると。
