対応消耗品:トナーカートリッジTN-33J,TN-36J、ドラムユニットDR-30J、オプション品:ローワートレイユニット(セカンドカセット) LT-5000 ハイスピードなプリンティングを実現する18PPMエンジンと、スムーズなデータ処理を実現する高速RISCチップを搭載。パラレルインターフェースに加え、Hi-Speed USB2.0インターフェースにも対応し、高速データ転送を実現しています。小さな文字や細い罫線もくっきり、写真やイラストも美しくプリント表現できる高解像度2400×600dpiエンジンを搭載。また、ハイクオリティな印刷のために、ミクロサイズの均一な球状トナーを作り出す重合法技術を採用しました。トナーとドラムの分離型カートリッジを採用し、トナーのみの交換時で2円/枚というランニングコストを実現しました。10/100BASE-TXを自動認識、マルチプロトコルサポートで様々なネットワーク環境で対応可能

~ブラザーのプリンタで魅力的に感じるのは、やはりランニングコストの低さでしょう。
ドラムとトナーの交換をあわせても一枚３円という価格は、競合各社より1円前後も安いものです。

もちろん、ランニングコストだけでなく筐体もしっかりした作りで、非常に好感を持てます。
また、Winはもちろんのこと、MacOSXにもしっかり対応しています。

何よりこの製品の便利な点は、天板の部分に排紙されることです。
このため、廃熱のためのスペースと背面ケーブル周り以外には、余分なスペースが必要ありません。

学校やオフィスはもちろんのこと、ご家庭でも、会報やプリントなど大量な文字印刷が必要な方には、とても重宝するのではないでしょうか。~

Win/Mac/Linuxからネットワーク印刷できる機種という条件で購入しました。

初期コスト・継続使用コストともにパフォーマンスがいいです。
18ppmの印刷速度は個人ユースでは満足の速さです。
ウォームアップもストレスを感じません。

ただ印刷時の動作音が少々気になりますが許容範囲です。

RedHat9でドライバをインストールして使えるようになるまで

付属のドキュメントを見ながら３０分もかかりませんでした。

Linuxのメールクライアントから直接受信メールが印刷ができるようになり
非常に重宝しています。

5.0 out of 5 stars スタンダードとポストスクリプトの切り替えが便利, 2004/8/25
MacOSXで使っています。Ｅ社やＣ社の同クラスのプリンターと比較しても格段に安く、性能も満足です。特に、アプリケーションに合わせて、スタンダードで印刷したり（印刷速度が速い）、ポストスクリプトで印刷できる（DTP系のソフトで印刷がキレイ）のが便利です。プリンタリストに両方登録しておくといいです。
