   およそ10分間しか自分の記憶を保てなくなった男レナード（ガイ・ピアース）。彼は妻をレイプし殺害した犯人を捜し出すため、ポラロイド写真を撮り、メモを取り、大事なことは身体に入れ墨で書き記すなどして必死の行動を始める…と、ストーリーを書いてしまうとこうなるのだが、実際はドラマの展開を逆転させ、いわば連続TVドラマの最終回からいきなり見せられ、ラストが第1話に相当してしまうという、ユニークな構造で推し進めていく新進クリストファー・ノーラン監督によるクライム・サスペンス。
   まるでコロンブスの卵のようなアイデアの勝利がきわだった作品だが、予備知識なしで接すると何が何だかわからなくなる危険性も大いにあり。記憶や思い出（＝メメント）というものの不確かさを痛感させる心理学論的おもしろさが楽しめる。（的田也寸志）

10分以上記憶を保てなくなってしまった主人公レナードが、妻を殺害した犯人を探していく、という設定自体は凡作。。。

しかしながら、10分前の記憶が無い主人公と同じ体験が出来る『リバース再生』はこれまでに無く斬新。10分おきに時間をさかのぼるストーリー展開なので、「10分間」に起こったこと全てが、次に観る「その前の10分間」の伏線となっており、シーンが変わる度に驚愕の事実が明らかになっていきます。まさに驚きの連続ですごく面白いです。

本作品にはカラーと白黒の2種類のシーンがあるのですが、実は白黒のシーンは時系列順になっているので、各シーンごとの時間軸の把握が難しく、観ている側の記憶力が試される難易度の高い作品になってます。
DVDには『リバース再生（正確に言うと"本編のリバース再生"のリバース）』の特典があり、全てのシーンを時系列順に観れる機能があるので、本編で理解できなかった方は是非お試しを。

ただ私個人としては、どう考えてもつじつまが合わない部分が幾つかあるので、ストーリー細部の練り具合がいまひとつ。この発想は二度と使え無いという事を考えると、非常に惜しいです。

その後、何とか私なりの解釈でほとんどの疑問は消化したのですが、いまだにわからない点がひとつ。。。

構成が斬新ですね。そして複雑です。
僕はこの斬新さだけでも、☆４つぐらいあげられそうです（笑）

「今こうなっている。しかしなぜこんなことになっているのか？」
１０分ごとに記憶がなくなってしまう主人公と同じように、観客も１０分前に何があったのかわからない。
主人公と一緒に、わずかな手掛かりを頼りに謎を追求する。

物語の真相が徐々にわかっていく様は圧巻です。
観客は記憶力と推理力を求められます。
探偵映画のように主人公に引っ張られるように謎を推理するのではなく、主人公と一緒に推理していくのが、この映画です。

特典映像に、物語の進行が順番通りになっているバージョンがあります。ぼくは１回本編を観た後、このバージョンを見てストーリーをちゃんと理解できました。
僕はあまり記憶力がなかったようですね＾＾；

面白い映画です。

最初に結末から始まって、なぜあの人が犯人なのかというのをどんどん前にさかのぼっていきます。
妻殺しの犯人を必死で追っているのですが、主人公が10分前のことを覚えていられないという設定で、
刺青や写真を使って記録として残していきます。

しかし、人の記憶は結構当てにならないものだというのが分かってきます。
時間軸が逆のせいもあってか、見終わってすぐ、｢何だっけ？｣と見直したくなってしまい、
何回も見てしまうという点で、劇場で見るよりDVD向けだと思います。
ぼんやり見ているとあっという間に話についていけなくなりますから、集中力が必要です。
