   バンプレストの看板シリーズとの呼び声も高い「サモンナイト」シリーズ。2001年8月に発売されたその続編が、PS one Booksシリーズになった。キャラクターデザインに飯塚武史氏、シナリオに都月狩氏を起用した、現在でも新作の登場が続いているファンタジックシミュレーションRPGだ。

   ゲームは1話ごとに「アドベンチャーパート」、「バトルパート」、「夜会話」という3つのパートに分かれている。本作は全部で20以上の話で構成されているので、ボリュームは申し分なし。しかも、ストーリーの進行に合わせて物語の分岐があり、エンディングも20種類以上用意されている。

   「2」になって、好きなキャラクターでパーティープレイができるようになった。このフィーチャーは、エンディングにも深く関連しているので、よりパーティープレイに奥行きを与えている。また、ゲームを盛り上げる音声には、桑島法子氏をはじめとする人気声優が参加しており、ストーリー、システム、サウンドすべてが手抜きなく、作り込まれている。（羽根満男）

プレイステーション用ソフトとして発売されたこのサモンナイト２は操作性・画像・ストーリーなど、どれをとっても文句なしに前作を上回っていると思います。現在３作目が出ていますが、攻撃や召喚術を使う時にセリフを喋る点は面白いけれど召喚術に使うＭＰの消費が多すぎるしストーリー的にはやはり２作目の方が良いと思います。このソフトがこんなに安く買えるなんて、待ってて良かった~！って感じです。実は息子がやっているのを見ていて面白そうだったのでやらせてもらっていたんです。今回は、恥ずかしながら自分専用という事で注文しました。

ゲームバランスは前作と比べて良くなっています。
やはり簡単ではありますが、やり込みたいヒトなら長く遊べる要素があります。
ギャラリー収集やゲームバランスを崩さない程度のデータの引継ぎが追加されました。
ストーリーは前作のコンパクトなものから、壮大なものになっています。
起承転結が首尾一貫しており、クリアしたあとに達成感を感じることができました。
キャラクターもさらに個性豊かに描かれています。とくに敵役がいい感じです。
前作のキャラクターが登場する番外編もあり、思わずニヤリとする場面もありました。
このシリーズの代表作といった感じです。

ストーリーとしてもゲーム性としても、かなり引き込まれました。
純粋に面白いと思えます。絵がやさしい塗りでかわいいですし＾＾
各キャラクターがよく映えていて、やり取りなどが見ていて微笑ましく、また主人公とパートナーやキーキャラクターたちとの関係には驚かされたり感動させられたりしました。
唯一の不満は、ちょこっとBGMが迫力不足だったように感じたことかな〜

P.S.おまけ要素で懐かしの面々をみることができたのには大満足でした＾＾
