 「あの長いスキージャンプの板に、ひとりで乗ってジャンプするのはもったいないと思いませんか？」
   作者・真島理一郎のそんな発想から生まれた専門学校の卒業制作が、アニメーションの最高権威アヌシー国際アニメーションフェスティバル入選をはじめ、世界28か国の映画祭を虜にした恐るべき作品となった。
   2006年トリノオリンピックを舞台に、架空の競技「スキージャンプ・ペア」で各国の強豪たちがしのぎを削る。パートナーを空中にぶら下げてジャンプする「イーグル」、空中抱擁「コアラ」など、ありえない技の数々が次々と披露されていく。スキージャンプ中継の基本的に変わらない画面割り、茂木淳一の淡々としつつ選び抜かれた言葉による実況がリアリティとバカバカしさを際だたせている。
   なお、DVD化に伴い各国の映画祭の様子をプライベートカメラで捉えた映像が収録されている。各国での歓迎ぶりが伺える。（大脇太一）

ある店でデモとしてこのＤＶＤの映像が流れていて、店の中にも関わらず大爆笑してしまいました。よく見ると８本セット（うち５本は空ＤＶＤ）のオフィシャルDVD コンパイルBOXが１万円と書いてあったのですが、あまりに面白かったので買おうか買うまいか真剣に悩んでいました（笑）。
でもその後、レンタルしてもう一度見ると、まだ２度目なのに何となく飽きてしまっていて、更に３回目見た時は全く笑えなくなってしまっていました。
つまりこの作品、一発ギャグみたいなもんだったんですね。
買わなくて本当に良かった（＾＾;ゞ

もうさんざん話題にのぼった後だが、
今さらながら見てみた。
着眼点も面白いし、なにより
「スキージャンプ」の雰囲気がきっちり出せてて、
本当にスポーツ番組を見ているみたい。
特にナレーターのコメントがいいし、
ナレーションの合間に出てくる「型」などの専門用語がいい。

ただ、一回見れば十分という内容なので

買って保管しておくほどかどうかは迷う。
来客が多いなら接待用に。
しかしこういう作品が発売されるということ自体は
非常に好感が持てる。

一度観たら忘れられない面白さ！ありそうでなかった（そしてこれからもないであろう）こんな競技が観てみたかったっ！！
日曜の昼間にＴＶ放映でもしてそうな、粉雪の舞う冒頭の作りからして雰囲気たっぷり。
淡々とジャンプ＆大技をくり出す選手達と、絶妙なコメントの実況アナウンサーにおなかがよじれます。じ~ざすっ！
